ABOUT
The photographer behind Nordblikk
Hei — I'm Jussi Muilu.
I picked up a camera in 2018, at sixteen, and the hobby turned into a business. Today I also run Asuntokuvaajat.fi, a property photography agency in Finland with photographers in Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Tampere and Jyväskylä. Property is all I shoot now.
I moved to Cap-d'Ail with my girlfriend, who is studying here, and brought the Finnish way of working with me: every price published, booked online in a minute, photos back within 24 h. In Helsinki that is ordinary. On the Riviera it is still unusual — most photography here runs on quotes and callbacks.
SHORT-TERM RENTALS
I run the listings too, not just the camera
I also manage and optimise short-term rental listings, and that changes how I photograph them.
Once you have watched a calendar fill or stall depending on which photo sits first, you stop treating images as decoration. The cover shot is the highest-leverage thing on a listing. I shoot holiday lets knowing which frame does that work, because on the properties I manage I have watched the numbers move.
THE STYLE
Bright, calm, and the size the room actually is
The style is Nordic: natural light, restraint, no heavy filters, no stretched wide angles. Rooms come out bright, calm and the size they actually are.
It is quieter than most Riviera property photography. It is also why buyers do not feel misled when they finally walk in — which matters more at three million euros than at three hundred thousand.
